From what I can tell, it’s FAR less than 1%. I recently did some tracking of blogs at WordPress.com and blogs tracked by Technorati. Only around 2% of the blogs in existence are posted to on a given day. So lets say some others are posted to a few times a week or less, still it is probably safe to assume most blogs are created then abandoned soon after; let’s assume only 10% of all blogs remain active. If only 1% of the active blogs are successfully monetized, then we’re looking at something like .1% who are making money.

And if there was any doubt, I’m going to put it to rest right now. I burst on to the blogging scene in June of 2007 with no prior experience, no job, and $6 in my bank account. I’m happy to report that as of January 2008, I cleared $7,000.00 as a blogger.

What did I do? There isn’t a magic bullet. But if you are willing to put in the time to test, tweak, and learn… it’s all in the ebook.
